Saizen® is indicated for the treatment of children with growth failure due to growth hormone deficiency and in adults with growth hormone deficiency.

*Program requirements:

  • Patients must have a prescription drug benefit that covers Saizen®
  • Patients must not have filled a Saizen® prescription in the past six months
  • Card can be used multiple times, no more than once every 26 days
  • Card expires 12 months after activation
  • Patients may not use card if patients receive drug benefits from Medicaid, a Medicare drug benefit plan, or other federal or state programs (includes state medical assistance program and/or pharmaceutical patient assistance programs). Additionally, patients may not use card if their private insurance, HMO, or other health or pharmacy benefit program paid for the entire Saizen® prescription.
  • Void in any state where prohibited by law, taxed, or otherwise restricted. Not valid in Massachusetts.
  • Eligible patients may not combine this card with any other rebate, coupon, free trial, or similar offer. One card per person.
  • EMD Serono reserves the right to rescind, revoke or amend this offer at any time without notice.
 

 

Saizen® [somatropin (rDNA origin) for injection] is indicated for the treatment of children with growth failure due to
growth hormone deficiency and in adults with growth hormone deficiency.

Saizen® is contraindicated in patients with a known sensitivity to growth hormone, diabetic retinopathy, acute
critical illness in the presence of active malignancy, and in patients with Prader-Willi syndrome who are severely
obese or have severe respiratory impairment.

Saizen® should be used with caution in patients with insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, diabetes,
hypothyroidism, intracranial hypertension, and in women who are pregnant or nursing. Although infrequent,
delivery site reactions may occur.
